netbook information
- Troubleshooting – Please refer students to and help them follow the Troubleshooting Flowchart before sending them to the Library to request repair service. If you no longer have your laminated flowcharts, please let us know. (You can also find it here.)
- Repair – All student netbook repairs are handled through the Library. Please send students up as directed above under "Netbook Repair." Students who have computers in for repair, will get a green card they need to present to you to confirm they have a computer in repair. If a student computer sustains major damage (screen crack, broken casing, etc.), please call us and send them ASAP. They will need to fill out an incident report. If it happened in your classroom, we may also need you to provide information as a key witness.
- Missing Netbooks – If a student has left a computer somewhere on campus during non-class time, it is at your discretion to let them retrieve it. Please don't send them to classrooms during class time. If a student appears to have lost his/her computer, s/he must go to the Office on his/her own time to fill out a Missing Netbook Form. If it is not found after the student follows the missing netbook protocol, an all staff email will be sent out.
- Passwords – When you receive password stickers in Home Room, please help students affix them to the agenda MONTH pages that have their birthdays. Those with July birthdays can put theirs on the February page. If a student loses a password, please send them up to the Library during the first 20 minutes with a Library Use Pass. To fill out a lost password request form, which we will process as soon as we get the chance.
